The ground rules

Terms of Service

These draft terms describe the responsibilities of people using Tourneying to organize or participate in martial arts tournaments.

Draft for review · Updated October 29, 2026

Tourneying and tournament organizers

Tourneying provides tournament management software. Tournament organizers are responsible for their events, including competition rules, eligibility, safety, venues, schedules, staffing, fees, waivers, refunds, and decisions about results.

Accounts and accurate information

Keep your sign-in information secure and provide accurate account and registration details. Submit information only for yourself or people you are authorized to represent. Parents, guardians, schools, and organizers are responsible for obtaining required permission when entering minors.

Registration and participation

Submitting a registration does not override the organizer’s entry requirements or competition rules. Check event deadlines, fees, division criteria, and waivers before entering. Direct requests for cancellations, registration changes, or refunds to the organizer. Participation in martial arts carries physical risks; event-specific waivers and safety requirements are separate from these software terms.

Scoring and published results

Judges and authorized tournament staff determine scores and placements. Public results and certificates reflect the records entered by those officials. Questions or disputes about results should be raised with the tournament organizer.

Dojo Champ integration

The school connection is optional. Connect only a school you are authorized to manage. Imported students and linked results depend on the school’s connection and correct student identifiers. Dojo Champ is a separate martial arts management service with its own terms.

Acceptable use and availability

Do not misuse accounts, expose another person’s private information, interfere with tournament operations, or submit false registrations or results. Access may be interrupted by maintenance, connectivity issues, or service failures; organizers should prepare appropriate event-day contingency arrangements.

Privacy and contact

Read the Privacy Policy for information about tournament and account data. Email support@tourneying.com or see Contact for questions. The legal operator, governing law, and final liability and dispute provisions must be confirmed and professionally reviewed before these draft terms are adopted.
