Black Belt America's Intramural Tournament of Champions (ITOC) is the ultimate championship open to all students! From 3.5-year-old white belts to the most experienced black belts, everyone is welcome to compete. We're thrilled to provide competitors with valuable lessons through this exciting event, held only once a year – don't miss it! Q: Why would I/my child participate?
A: This is your chance to test your skills in a fun, competitive environment. Through competition students learn sportsmanship, cooperation and respect while having fun through participation. All students build confidence from competing and earning awards!
Q: What events can I/my child participate in?
A: There are six events, Obstacle Course, Board Breaking, Power Breaking, Speed Kicking, Forms and Sparring. Tiny Tigers may participate in Obstacle Course, Board Breaking, and Speed Kicking. Children, Teens and Adults may participate in all the events but please note that the Obstacle Course is for participants aged 9 and under, and Power Breaking is for those aged 18 years and up.
Q: I just started Taekwondo, can I participate?
A: Yes! You will be placed in divisions with others of similar rank and ability. Gain competition experience at the beginner ranks – don't miss it!
Q: Where is the competition held?
A: The competition will be held in the St. Rose of Lima Gymnasium. The address is 16 Mc Lean St, Freehold, NJ 07728
Q: When should I show up for the tournament?
A: We recommend you arrive at least an hour prior to your first event. You will be allowed to check in when you arrive.
Get there early, enjoy the day! Awards will be presented directly after each division is finished. Don't miss the Opening Ceremony with Spectacular Exhibition at 10:30am by the Masters and the Demo Team.
Schedule of Events:
▪ 7:15am – Referees and Officials Check-In
▪ 8:00am - Masters, Referees and Officials Meeting
▪ 8:00am – Student Check in Begins – participants are allowed to check in an hour before their first event
▪ 9:00am – Obstacle Course Begins For 9 Yrs Old & Under
▪ 9:30am – Board Breaking Begins For All Ages
▪ 10:30am – Opening Ceremony – Masters and Demo Team Performance
▪ 11:15am - Power Breaking Begins for Ages 18 Yrs old & Up
▪ 11:30am – Speed Kicking begins for all ages
▪ 12:30pm – Forms Begins For All Ages
▪ 1:30pm – Sparring Begins For All Ages
Q: How do I register?
A: Please visit our website or Facebook https://www.facebook.com/bbatoc to find the registration link. The last day to register is March 8th 2025. Please read through the description as it will explain step by step how to register. All divisions will be separated by age, belt, weight, gender and ability, as the tournament committee deems necessary for fair competition. Early registration is appreciated.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
▪ AWARDS: Every participant will receive a Gold, Silver, or Bronze medal for their involvement in any of the six events. Rest assured; we procure the highest quality awards for all our events!
▪ COMPETITORS WRISTBANDS: Competitors will receive a wrist band and will need to have it on in order to proceed into the main floor. All competitors must be in full program uniform.
▪ SPECTATORS: Spectators admission fee is $10. Upon purchasing on-line admission, you can collect the spectators wristbands at your Tae Kwon Do school during the week of March 11th. Admission is free for children 3 years of age and under. (It will be $15 at the door. Please note that cash only will be accepted for payment at the venue for admissions, food and tournament t-shirt).
▪ PHOTO & VIDEO: Video and picture taking are allowed; however, it must not interfere with the competition. Post pictures and videos on your favorite social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and YouTube.
▪ FOOD: Pizza and refreshments will be available to purchase throughout the event. Please note that cash only will be accepted for payment at the venue for admissions, food and tournament t-shirt.
▪ TOURNAMENT T-SHIRT: Tournament of Champions Spring 2025 T-Shirts with all the competitors' names on the back will be available for purchase for $30. Competitors' registration must be completed by March 8th to guarantee the name to be on the Tournament T-Shirt. Please note that cash only will be accepted for payment at the venue for admissions, food and tournament t-shirt.
